I love how people like to argue this knight vs Samurai stuff. Both were adapted to the unique battlefield requirements to which they were forced to fight in. Both were firece fighters. They never fought, and if they did, I would imagine they would adopt new tactics or borrow from each other. The only thing that mattered is what worked and what didn't.

The late Terry Pratchett had a go at this in his Discworld Novels, where a Tibetan inspired Lama-figure qouted British housewife sayings and acted like their were of great wisdom and importance.
