Not a bad hack for once. Actually might work with a relatively low chance of severe injury. Worth noting a spindle sander is like $150 at harbour freight, though. Same jig logic applies to use a spindle sander as a planer, just gotta get more creative with the 2x4s

Dangerous yes, but side note, a wood planer is freaking expensive

Insanely stupid dangerous idea, nobody should do this. An angle grinder is considered one of top most dangerous tools when used as intended, this is a disaster waiting to happen. Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. Spending a couple hundred dollars on a tool designed for the job is far cheaper than your future ambulance ride/hospital bill.
