š¤ you were onto it with the war, but then strayed away. Before world war 2, wars were long and unprohibited, with the capital city definitely getting ransacked and torched, so people didn't want build a building for 150+ years, for it to be taken down in a war, in 2 seconds, humans have learnt.
Also the intricacies, before the war a building had very little to worry about on the interior, with probably only basic electrics, now (and from since about the 1970s) the interior takes up a larger % of the costs, time and man power. This kind of architecture also takes away the soul from the cities and makes them look dull. Iāve also seen this kind of glass buildings in places with high temperatures such as Middle East, India etc. which makes no sense because glass would absorb heat.
