I hate it when gay people call other people homophobic just because the other person doesn't do what they want. I'm 60 years old, my husband is 61, we've been together for 36 years and have been openly gay. I refer to him as my husband at a variety of businesses and I've never noticed any change. I think most of the time when a gay person claims homophobia it's just like when a black person calls someone racist just because they won't do what the other person wants - same thing. They yell homophone or racist or sexist because they can't come up with a sensible position.
