Be aware ..l with all of the Free patterns from Mood Fabrics you must make a toile. Sometimes they do not have all of the instructions and sometimes the pieces do not fit together correctly. I have called them on a couple of patterns where I bought their recommended fabrics, etc. and downloaded, for example their P-coat…they were a little uppidy that what they sent me for directions was very lacking. And I have been sewing for decades. Trust me, make a toile and write on it what you had to change/fix. I make toiles and am safe before I cut my fashion fabric. Do this no matter how simple to garment. You will be happy with yourself and love your wardrobe.

I’m approaching the exciting milestone of month three with my sewing machine, and I can’t believe how much I’ve learned so far! After crafting a few quilted makeup bags, I’m finally diving into my first clothing project: elastic band pajama pants. They won’t have pockets, but I’m drafting the pattern based on a pair of my favorite pajama pants. I’ve already gone through about four pattern drafts and made two toiles. The second toile has really boosted my confidence, and I’m feeling ready to take the next step. Tomorrow, I’ll be washing and cutting my fashion fabric, and I can’t wait to see how everything turns out! 😅🤞
