Back to Judge McNally's courtroom in Michigan State Court where the judge is shocked to hear the interest percentage on a loan taken out by a teacher living paycheck to paycheck.

While every effort is made to provide raw courtroom footage, videos undergo light editing (cutting out long pauses, discussion from the bench on unrelated matters, removing personally identifying information about defendants, ancillary matters, etc.) and therefore may not accurately and completely represent the events that transpired.

She's an adult. She knowingly took the loan. She should have to pay it back.

It used to be called usury - illegal, unethical, and shameful on the loan provider.

Imagine telling this judge we lost 30%of our purchasing power over 100 years.
People in the great depression are actually better off than you are today.

I can't figure out how credit card company s get away with the interest they charge since back in the 60's over 15% would be usury and a prison sentence.
