Mix breeds definitely rule, if you're rescuing one you've got to be aware of potential issues and be prepared to help it overcome those. If you can't or won't, don't get one.

Mixed breed dogs have better genetic diversity and are typically healthier because they arenā€™t inbred.

"I don't like mixed breeds like this one here." Dog eyed him like what did I do?

I love my rescues! Sometimes they have issues... but I have no room to judge. šŸ˜¬

My street (or abandoned?) dog was found at around 2 month old, adopted him with 3 month (heā€™s now 7 month) and I couldnā€™t have asked for a better pup.. still high energy but great temperament.. went to a dog trainer anyway and she was very impressed with him too.. he was still very young when found, so likely not much in his backpack.. connected greatly with me without signs of separation anxiety or reactivity.. I really got lucky!

Rescue dogs can beexpensive in health care, they have issues, that are original to the warmer climates and their upbringing. You have to take this into account, when you adopt one.

I have had my Romanian street dog for about 5 years now. It is a very slow process it took me a couple of years to develop a good relationship with him. But I can honestly say it was all worth it. I think rescue dogs love/appreciate their owners more because of what theyā€™ve been through.

My parents (and me, as Iā€™m assisting them) are just in the process of adopting a street dog from Thailand. Our previous dog was a rescue from a kill shelter in the US where I lived at the time. Maybe it takes a little longer and itā€™s a bit more complicated, sureā€¦ but itā€™s so much more rewarding and Iā€™d never ever buy a dog. Is that right for everyone? Certainly not (especially a first timer), no, but it is for me. Iā€™m also wondering if it would help to do a DNA test to see what breeds youā€™re working with? But that alone may not have as much of an impact as their history, which you may not have with a rescue.

Mix breeds rock, currently I have an Allan before him it was Kai both a special breed of 1, could someone tell me what makes a pure breed dog is it someoneā€™s opinion or a group of dog breeders telling us.
