I wish I had done this my first few years as a vocalist but I was way too afraid of hearing my voice fail and so I pushed and pushed until I attained perfect pitch and full usage of my false-chords but the level of discipline needed on top of abandoning society for half a decade while you hone your skill is astronomical and the scarring eventually escapes beyond the boundaries of your throat.
Practice what you need and what you need is what you’ll use. Have fun with what you don’t need and remember you won’t nail the sounds you desire automatically but in time it will come.
Start young, stay consistent, be forever patient.
