While it can be fun to explore different distros, it often leads to wasted time and frustration. Some of your Arguments are Not correct. You cannot replace experience with stuff you learn online. Learning Something new can be Worth it all by itself.
I distrohop about once a year to learn new stuff.

Correct, it's much better to just run multiple distributions at the same time, virtual machines, dual boot, no problem, both do an amazing job. Why limit yourself. :)

LYnux? Who would trust advice about Linux from a channel who can't properly say it half of the time?

TLDR distro hop has its purpose. Every time I setup a new Linux VM, I pick a different distro just to learn what's different. This helps me get comfortable with a distro before I install it on bare metal (or know to stay away from it).

I mean, yeah, I guess doing some research can help people choose the right distro.
It would help to know what a distro can and can't do beforehand, but otherwise some trial and error is okay.

We only have this trustworthy information BECAUSE of distro hopping. If no one wanted to distro hop, we wouldn't have any info on 90% of the distros on Linux. Also testing a few distros is even easier than even installing Windows most of the time especially if they're based on the same branch like most Arch or Fedora distros.
