Rockhounding season officially begins for me Friday. Withlacoochee will finally be shallow enough to get to the good stuff. I found some nice slabs of agate with light blue hues out there as well last year. It was my main spot pretty much the whole 2nd half of the year. Tried my hand at diamond hill mine too, loved it. came home with about 3 or 4 gallons of quartz crystals, mostly small points but it was such a satisfying run i only went the one time. Been chasing after agatized coral ever since. Im addicted. Btw your channel is honesty my favorite. You dont get too sciency and i like that because all the 500 milllion year old this and 1.2 billion years old that stuff is so cringe because its all bullshit anyway, its all theorized there's no real accuracy, truth is if they dont know how long it took a rock to form they just make up whatever suits their agenda in most cases.
For example, if you look up "how long does it take coal to form" on Google it will tell you "Coal takes millions of years to form." This is categorically false because we now know that coal takes less than 3 months to form. I have the same theory about most rocks. I could see it taking tens or hundreds of years to form crystals and agate depending on size. The bigger the crystal, the older it is. The crystal caves in Mexico, i could believe something like 10-12,000 years old. Possibly less but i doubt it. Im reeeeally into creation science, geology and archeology so i have very good reasons for what i believe. Its what makes sense to me based on powerful evidences and scientific discoveries that ive been made aware of in recent years that most aren't privy to. Fun stuff!
But honestly, who gives a crap about the science. LOOK at them!! They're beautiful! Btw i know why u sorted out the tiny tumbled rocks in the nat geo mega 300pc kit, cuz you love playing with pretty rocks! ๐ happy hounding in 2024 Ariel!
