I actually made my local council put uo one of those in Manchester , as 40 was changed back to 30. We have multiple 30 signs now.
To be honest, the layout of open road is misleading and one red sign on corner can easily be missed when looking at other traffic around you. Not fair on motorist.
In the end, I guess , congested traffic there will not allow much speeding anyway there๐

Based on these videos, the only thing I've learnt is that road signs and junctions in the UK are terrible. You'll pay more attention reading and understanding confusing road than paying attention to the vehicles and pedestrians around you.

Honestly I donโt blame them for not seeing it. No one would have the time to read all those words while driving. Especially when 30 isnโt the first thing on there. It would make much more sense to have 30mph sign by itself.
