whats the point of using the technique today? you'd get better results just doing stop motion in front of a green screen.you get stopmotion without any of the shakiness of rear projection

Sure but the issue is that it takes a long ass time which a lot of movie studios don’t have the time/
Patience to do it, that’s they stick for CGI and make it seem like stop motion by lowering the frames.
