Very interesting. And your setup is really cool. Did you clean any of the components, like with alcohol to degrease? Residual oil could impact the results but maybe you could explore that later.

Testing the whole system should be the norm ! If your handle falls apart, now having a high-end steel blade isn't worth that much anymore ! 🫡

Do you think Benchmade would use Titanium (or other alternative) liners if they gotten enough feedback?
A part of me thinks they would but would then give people an option for stainless or ti liners... and charge an extra premium for ti liners

At the end of the day....what knife do you want to exist?!?!?! If you want to dewastating something...of course you will, but this i mindless and pointless. Todays knifemakers using best steel and handle materials for knives. What you want to show??!!??!!

I’m testing 4 knives in accordance with ASTM B117 standard except for solution is 1% instead of 5% to match Dr. Larrin Thomas article on MagnaCut to match how he tests it. Room temperature.
