Mental health is real people, we all suffer at one time or another whether we want to admit it or not. Recognizing you need the help is the first step, and finding someone you connect with is the second and hardest part. I had a wonderful therapist after my sister passed away, who helped me to accept my own forgiveness.

Thank you Taraji for being so transparent with your struggle. Mental Health is real like Depression is real. Everyone is at a different level of Mental Health issues for lack of not knowing there is a name for their confusion and there is help out here and medication to help whoever. It's a blessing today that all the different kinds of mental illness has a name, our forefathers and mothers were told they were crazy in the head, the devil got them, locked in a room and forgot about them. There needs to be more platforms opened up for discussion, testing, facilities that won't harm their people but show more compassion, empathy and understanding. When you watch your parents, siblings and best friend, slip away from you, you look and feel a different kind of way. I pray that people will pray for our community that suffers with this disease, prayer begins the healing process, Amen π

A therapist at BetterHelp told me that her intuition told her that the story that caused the trauma was unbelievable... because she listens to her intuition more than a firsthand account of the circumstances that drilled in the pain.
It's triggering just writing this. There was no help for a mother and child who were suffering victims. What a shame to the therapeutic community!
I'm glad this video was posted to bring some of the elements of the struggle for decent help.
