I knew this was wrong when i was a child,, my ma used to burn old shoes and runners.
Her friend had a second hand shop and used to bring black bags full of shoes every few weeks,, all the neighbours would come and search through the bags and whatever was left , sadly went on the fire.
Everyone knew what she was burning by seeing the black smoke ,, that was the early 90's and i used to say that's bad for the ozone,, she would say that she wont be around for it , i reminded her that her children,, grandchildren etc , will suffer π€·πΌββοΈ
