Acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, physical touch, and words of affirmation are the 5 love languages. Anyone else see the one that doesnât really fit? Yeah, if you need stuff to feel love then you got problems. Just bc itâs accepted in todayâs society doesnât mean itâs ok for you to spin as something positive when itâs not. Letâs just make up affirmative reinforcement for ppl to be materialistic pieces of shit. Itâs not to say there arenât very thoughtful and meaningful gifts, or working your ass off to make sure your loved one has a roof over their head isnât a valuable expression, but those situations still seem lesser than the other 4, or more related to duty and devotion, not love. This woman didnât even say receiving gifts, she just repeated money, left me cringing thinking that thereâs ppl out there that canât have a healthy relationship with someone who canât afford them, as if a money requirement would be healthy anyway.
