That's a really neat idea. You just have to make sure your heating vent is not too hot to damage the tent. Or maybe invent a generous layer of fireproof insulation for this portion of the pipe.

I thought of this same thing years ago. Tried a variant of it once. It worked but not super great... my log for the torch was smaller. My pipe was a little different. Yours looks like it works pretty well. Thanks for sharing it.

Great idea, so three such pipes, for example, just strapped together with wire could provide triple the heat since some commented on the limited effect.

If I saw what I think I saw, the cold fresh air intakes stick out the bottom of the log and right angles at the point of intakes for the fire, slik, if you make it of
.75 or 1. Inch copper tubing with unsoldered
Fittings be simple to take down and pak in and out , w/2 large staples for stability ya'll set, I like it...experience teaches..history Teaches..truth is sovereign

You could also put another leg extension out of the bottom of the pipe to insure that the air is being drawn from outside the area of the combustion

If you made a bonnet to go over the top of the log with a stove pipe coming off the top and going through the tent venting outside the opposite side.
