Best superhero story for me is hands down a webnovel titled āI became the villain the hero is obsessed with.ā While it takes place from the perspective of a self-proclaimed villain, heās really only acting as one as a way to thwart a frankly bleak and souls-like level of horrific future, and a lot of his actions are more heroic than the actual heroes themselves. All the side characters are fleshed out to a wonderful extent, the powers are interesting and while strong, still limited in a way that adds tension, itās not impossible for him to lose and in fact has lost a couple times or come close to it, and the way he strives to āraiseā the heroes to take on his mantle instead is really fun to read, especially because heās really not that strong himself; he needs months of prep time and rest to charge up enough energy for even a single decent attack.

I wouldnāt even put MHA In top 50 superhero stories. Itās not bad but it just doesnāt compare to marvel and dc stories in their prime.

I wouldn't say best, since the entire history of comic books are right there and chances are, better stories were told.
MHA does stand out as it bothers to ask the question of "What it means to be a hero?" It addresses and questions heroism itself.

Lol no. Mha is a mediocre battle shonen at best. Marvel and DC have produced far better superhero stories despite the vast majority of it being mediocre. I also really like invincible and the boys TV show is pretty good as well

MHA is good but as it goes, there starts to begin plot holes and just things that are very confusing or just not done properly so I would say it is a pretty good storyline but it just canāt be one of the best superhero stories. It just has too many flaws for me to say itās the best or even that high but it is still really good.
