heres how you connect the rog ally to an egpu dock via an m.2 adapter with an occulink port. reading pcie 4.0 approx. 64gbps
apparently faster then thunderbolt 3/4 not 5 though
however some ppl disagree so i will be doing a comparison and lets just see which is actually faster when using the same gpu on both scenarios

There’s a huge caveat there and that you have to have your os installed via the usb sata drive. So this handheld will no longer function as a handheld at all. You will have to leave it plugged into the dock 24-7 to use it. It’s not practical but it’s really cool. Thankfully the rog ally x has two USB c ports / thunderbolt 4 and you can run a usb c drive with os installed and do it that way with out needing a dock

Dude! I got the rog ally (Gen 1) and was trying to figure out how to get a EGPU to work with it without buying that BS ROG brick and thank you man! I think you just gave me my answer for months!
