In the #short I explain the main features of the 80/75 meter amateur radio band in under 60 seconds.

Sharing is caring: If you think my videos might be of interest to others you are welcome to mention them in any ham radio internet groups that you belong to. This will help more people to find my channel.

Technical information: All my videos are shot using a GoPro 10, Insta 360X and a DJI Mini. I use a variety of microphones to suit the shots.

Most summits don't have room for an 80m wire antenna and any vertical you're willing to carry up the mountain will be little more than a space heater on 80m. But at least you'll be warm. 👍

Thank you very much for this info. Can you support all the numbers, there are many, by a text on the video? It's always good to put diagrams, drawings and key words. it allows OM to better understand when the speaker does not use the viewer's native language ;)

I live in a house at the side of a road in a resdential street, the amount of noise on the SW bands has stopped me bothering from home. Even 2 Meters is becoming compromosed.. A 20 minuite walk from my gate puts me on a nature reserve created from reclaimed mining land, where I can easily set up a 7 Metre fibreglass fishing pole and 40 Metres of wire without being in anyone's way at all. I've a Yeasu 857, a 49:1 transformer and a 20 A/hr LifePo golf caddy battery. It'll do 50 Watts SSB for a couple of hours... I know I should learn CW!... But I'm more of a SSB chatterbox
