I work at a bakery. (You know. A place where the main culprit; flour exists consistently in the air everywhere)
The amount of partners and family members who ask if we can make a gluten free order for them is ….concerningly uneducated.
Even if it’s a lower stakes allergy. Just an intolerance it’s likely going to harm them.
A celiac shouldn’t even walk into a bakery with an open kitchen/display ‘just in case’ they react to breathing in the place.
People do not take cross contamination, especially airborne, seriously until they experience it or watch someone nearly die from it.
