It doesn't beat inflation. EPF is good because of employers contribution other than that NPS and PPF doesn't worth it for such a long tenure one could make a good returns from equity mutual funds.

This does not make any sense. For two simple reasons -
1) the ppf compounding will happen on 7.1 and not 10.
2) one may be in 30% bucket pre retirement. But when one retire may not be in 30%
