Aside from the McCarty being a little hotter, they sound basically the same. Good demo and great playing as always!

They sound more similar than I thought they would side by side, but the Les Paul just has it everywhere. That neck pickup tone is what I love in a good LP. Tight low end and plenty of clarity touches. That guitar touches me in my no no place. π

I love PRS, but it's like comparing Stratocaster vs Silver sky...
The Les Paul has THAT tone, same about the Strat.
PRS has always got a more neutral/modern approach amd I love they don't just copy, they "PRSise" the sound, making it more "acoustic"?π
but that Gibson tone man..

The Gibson looks and sounds better to me, especially in the bridge and middle position, in the neck position the difference was more subtle

But it really depends on what you want.

I liked the PRS neck better, but I liked the Gibson better in the other two positions. The PRS bridge pickup is lacking top end.
