You won't know until you been in one.
We had one drop down almost on top of our house so no warnings. I just herd the wind pick up and looked out my window to see it across the street. I felt the window frame moving under my hands and I told my mom to get in the hallway. I grabed my dog and we held on and prayed. You could hear the house cracking and moaning. Just a few moments felt like half an hour. Once it was over I looked outside again. It had destroyed the trees across the street where it touched down.

I have been in 5 tornados in my 61 yrs. I now have a basement WITH a tornado shelter that will with stand a F5. It will hold 15 people. I have all my important papers and pictures in it. 1 week of food and water, ect. I take the weather very seriously.
