“My yoke is easy, my burden is light”, “not by might, not by power but by My Spirit says the Lord”.
There is a place in the Spirit (the shadow of the Almighty) where no earthly concern can reach, “for I have learned to be content in all circumstances”.
This is a mystery yes, “the way is narrow and few find it”. Godly contentment doesn’t stop our problems and struggles, it gives us the peace that surpasses all earthly understanding.
“My peace I give you, not as the world gives”.
You can’t follow Jesus with your own grit and strength, we follow Him with ease when we walk in the Spirit. Self-pity is the sin of self-reliance mixed with doubt. Faith requires us to trust God and believe that in our weakness, He is made strong through us.
Put on the mind of Christ by renewing your mind with the Word of God, not focusing on the uncomfortable sensations of the flesh.

It's easy to say, I believe. It's a lot harder to repent actually and pick up your cross. It's not easy when you have to deny the desires of the flesh and walk in accordance with the Holy Spirit. It's certainty worth it. Also, understand you can call yourself a christian, and you can call him lord. But also understand that forgiveness isn't possible without repentance, and if you don't repent, you won't go to heaven. It will change your life, but you're going to suffer. If you're willing to go through all that, he will save your life. God bless you all, and praise the Lord!

Following Jesus is so hard! I was saved when I was 19, I’m now 73. The road sometimes was so narrow it was difficult to navigate but He is faithful to keep those He knows from harm. My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last November. It’s by God’s Grace that we are still in a loving relationship and still praising our Father and Jesus. Many times the Holy Spirit has led us in the way to go. What an amazing life we both have had! Chris, Western Australia 🇦
