Yankees are pure traditionalists .They don’t even put names on their uniforms because they believe if you’re a Yankee the fans should know who you are . They don’t need gimmicks like city connect jerseys that are ridiculous in their own right . The Yankees are the most iconic team in all of sports and their connect to their city are the pinstripes on their traditional home uniform

As a Yankee fan, I do get the impression that the Yankees have been more about image than actually winning lately. It's great that theyre finally doing awesome again now, and obviously I hope "Number 28" comes soon,but I wouldn't mind an alternate,and them allowing long(er) hair and beards,but within reason,of course (think Bryce Harper,not "Duck Dynasty",or hair past the shoulders,but not long enough to cover the numbers)
