I feel like an official Earthbound movie would need to be an amalgamation of Mother 1 and 2. Have the overarching story be about George, Maria and Giegue/Giygas but have the events of the adventure be based on Earthbound. Protagonist named Ness but with Ninten's family lineage. I imagine the ending would be a double fake out, spending the whole movie hyping up that Giygas is trying to become the "Universal Cosmic Destroyer" but after Ness and co. sing and make him cry, he has a change in heart and actually says he wants to reform. But then Porky would remark that this is sappy and boring and that he wants to see the Cosmic Destroyer before pulling the lever to activate the transformation, traumatizing the audience and giving the fans the HD Giygas nightmare scene they've always wanted lmao. Ness and friends would still win and have a happy ending but Giygas's fate would probably make general audiences so mad at Porky that a sequel, aka an adaptation of Mother 3, would be in high demand.

One of the artists might've taken inspiration from it, although tbh it wouldn't be far fetched for this to be a coincidence, I mean the many many statue is just a stereotypical devil that's golden, considering the statue in the movie probably represents a typical demon because presumably it's some sort of villain award (which being an award of course would be some type of golden statue) you can see how the statue would probably be designed the way it was, still cool though
