Who else but Scott! As I was told as a kid, some people get it, some don’t. Thank you Scott.

Kinda scary a shop would just say that’s as good as it gets with out looking into it further especially on something as important as your brakes.

If a “shop” can’t figure that out they seriously shouldn’t be touching a car…..

Thecdifference between a trained mechanic ( i did a 10.000 hour apprenticeship in thec1970ts, ) and a short cut operator that did a high school auto shop, you see i learned to analise problems before repairs, mondays were reserved for weekend warriors like this

See something new everyday, never seen calipers put on the wrong side. I always go by which one has the bleeders on top, never looked at the box to see which side they go on.
Here I thought that was just basic knowledge, like checking your oil.

The first time I did brakes, the store gave me 2 driver’s side calipers by mistake and I didn’t know this😢
Ended up having to go to a shop and they ripped me off saying these calipers were no good and I had to pay for new ones

I have had several REPAIR SHOPS send us cars for the same problem. Paid professionals don't know air is lighter than brake fluid. SCARY, what else do they not know?

with those puddles on the floor, it looks like someone else didn't notice it at first either.

I was going to say it had a bad master cylinder at first until you showed the upside down caliper

Many “shops” ( I use that term loosely… ) could learn a LOT just from watching your video’s, Scott.

I have done this in a hurry at one point in my career. These mistakes can happen and took me a minute to see my issue as first and last time I have done that.I saw right away the issue as worked through problem before taking to a shop.Alot of problems are best to work through yourself to learn rather than pass the buck it makes you a better tech 👍

This is why I do my own work. It is a blessing that I had uncles that were Mechanics. Started me out at the bottom. Everybody should at least be able to Do filters and oil changes. BUT ALAS, Afraid not. If you look at the way many of todays Vehicles are designed those Parts will fit many Models of cars Trucks etc... A darn shop couldn't figure it out. Back to school with them . Upside down parts.. gotta be kidding me.. At least no one got hurt..🙄
