I was having a problem with this at first, because I thought Oxen was just cattle trained to the yoke...but these are "Musk"oxen, slightly different than cattle.

Since they were presumably ubiquitous from Scandinavia all the way to Greenland during the last ice age, why would the greenland herds not be considered the same species as the scandinavian? Has it just been far too long?
