You know what would be sick? Harlem globetrotters style jerseys. Obviously stylize them a bit so they don't look as silly, but simple sleeveless jerseys with bicolor shorts sounds like a fun idea.

My hot takes are twofold: 1. red white and blue will usually look bad and boring. Free yourself from the constraints of the flag colors. Slovenia's got the right idea in your example: Get some cool design going and put a flag logo on a sleeve or something. 2. sleeveless shirts look bad even on jacked arms. Go tank, short sleeve, or long sleeve.

When the kit sponsor was adidas, they paid USA Volleyball a significant amount of sponsorship $$$. When they cancelled it, USA Volleyball had to revert back to Mizuno - and that deal was ONLY for product and no $$$ involved. Mizuno doesn’t have the marketing funds to keep changing designs like the bigger players. The org has always had a challenge marketing the product to mainstream sponsors and something Speraw will need to keep a close eye on. The Japanese squad has a pretty sizable investment from asics and why they are able to create new uniform designs yearly.
