It has something to do with your amount of posture stats
I used to have a build that can block everything (prima kick,thresher dive ,move that usually req you to dodge ect)
But i cant seem to recreate it anymore
But yea if you have high posture you can basicly block anything that isnt a block break move like beam or grab

If you have high enough posture you can block every attack, Sharko kick, stone knights kick even primadon kick, you can block all of them with a high enough posture
