I'll defend these hitches. Easy open, easy lock, there's a pin hole to lock it closed. Rated for 21k on a 1 5/16 ball. If the latch breaks you can get a rebuild kit for the latch.

I agree with you, I think on a bump, the pull of the trailer is just going to push it upwards n unhooked..

That looks like a big fail. They bump locks that have springs, your telling me this little scrap spring wouldn't do the same when it hit a bump?.

An answer to a non-problem.

Need to add a lock feature to keep it from popping open on bumpy roads

This is not new technology, my 14k tilt has demco hitch. Yes it has spot for a traditional pin. Yes I still use a pin, even though I was told I don’t have to w/ this coupler. I have used both style couplers and have no preference. That being said I haven’t hooked up my trailer w/ the latch closed/locked as in the second demonstration. I also live in the midwest. I have not been concerned or had a problem w/ breakage.

I don’t think these are new. I’ve had one for a while.

And they are awesome I bought a tilt deck, trailer and haul all sorts of stuff, including a telehandler excavator skid steer and it’s been the greatest hitch I’ve had on any of my trailers.

Honestly, I wish I had something similar in my goosenecks because I hate getting in the bed

Curt and Reese hitches all day. No need for the fancy brands you just named off.

Lifted truck kids need to stop with their super fancy adjustable hitch. They spend more on a locking hitch pin than I do for my whole hitch. 😂

That’s not a new design, U-Haul has been using those hitch’s for a decade +

They aren’t selling a hitch they are selling a hitch coupling none of the companies you mentioned are selling hitch couplers

why don't we come up with a better way to back up and hook up !!

or hey how about a hitch that hides away when we dont need it cause we lazy AF to take it off and pay for it later with our shins 🤣
That would save man kind a world of come to Jesus moments
