i have idiopathic, S shaped scoliosis, diagnosed around 12/13 years old although i knew i had it since around 7 years old. My aunt would always tell me to straighten my back, and even though i did, it never seemed to be straight. I have a high curve that curves to the left so my left shoulder and shoulder blade is higher then the right, giving me almost a hunchback appearance to only the left side. She used to make me stand with my back on the wall in hopes it would straighten my back. She had no idea it was scoliosis. My junior high nurse was the one that spotted the scoliosis.
