Read some comments here. Want to say something on it. Purpose of punishment should always be change a criminal mind and alter his/her thinking about others. That's why it is said hate sin and not the sinner. We rather tend to get carried away by emotion, driven by anger, hatred and revenge, thus rather transforming ourselves into a selfish being with sole motive and goal of ruining life of an accused along with his or her entire family. This is exactly what the accused did. Then what's the difference between a criminal and us seeking revenge in the name of justice.
