I didn't know they needed permission. Given how Pirelli collects all the bits of rubber after the race I assumed that a general cleanup, including the tear-offs, was included by F1

As a Singapore resident, I can confirm the strict littering laws are about as effective as drunk man trying to give directions. Ie, it doesnā€™t work

I do like the idea of all 20 drivers doing community service before they leave because someone forgot to file a form.

So they can say ā€œ I have legally broken the law ā€œ I think thats how it works.

I think tax evasion is even more common among f1 drivers

'up to and above' is an irreconcilable contradiction.

F1 driver's are breaking the law!

50 seconds later: They have permission to litter so they're not breaking the law.

Wow that was informative

Why they havenā€™t come up with some solution to retain them within the cockpit is beyond me. The amount of times they get stuck in a brake duct and ruin someoneā€™s race is too damn high.

Ok but having the drivers do a community clean up after a race would be such a great PR move

Iā€™m Singaporean and this is very true but many of times the people that litter donā€™t get caught

Max verstappen was not driving fast in his Aston Martin Valkyrie. He was going in the speed limit. The car is so loud it feels like that. If.you see the other cars around they are mainting speed with the Aston.

Itā€™s not really littering. If itā€™s confined to an area that gets cleaned in the post race period. Hell Iā€™m surprised they still use tear offs

There is no reason to use tear away tear offs they have rolled feeds that accomplish the same thing and are quick to replace that could be changed during a pit stop for fuel or tires.

I went to Singapore before and they have strict rules about it and other things ,so I can relate to that.

I honestly think there should be a pocket in the car that tear offs can be placed because they're a very high risk of getting sucked into the engine and causing damage

As a singaporean it is true we have very strict laws

ok I could be wrong but at least in the U.S. if your on private property you can throw trash wherever you want to unless it blows into another persons yard. So since the actual f1 track is legally private property it wouldn't be littering so long as the visors didn't blow out of the track.
