In an interview with The New Arab ahead of the US presidential election, Ghada shared her experience of Israelâs genocidal war on Gaza from afar, where more than 100 members of her extended family have been killed due to attacks from Israeli forces.
As the US prepares to head to the polls next week on Tuesday, Ghada criticised the Biden administration for its complicity in supporting Israel, and said the choice between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is also a struggle to reconcile her political choices with her moral beliefs â especially since both candidates seemingly support the genocide against her people.
âThe Palestinian and Lebanese community in the US is extremely disappointed and very hurt; we are mourning and grieving,â she said.

Dont give them your vote (not that it matters) but better to take a stand and vote 3rd party than to perpetuate the genocide that both parties are complicit in.

Sorry for your loss. May God be with you all. I share your sentiments. I believe that a vote should represent an individualâs voice within society rather than serve as the acknowledgment of voices of others within society. Therefore, if the 3rd party candidate is the candidate that represents your voice, you should vote for that candidate irrespective of their odds of winning. This is how we can effect chance no later how little.
