Now I know why my tips turn brown! Here in Arizona we have hard water. Thank you!

.. I've seen it, and been wondering..

.. For the past 3 years I've boiled my tap water, for all my 100 plants and not just my orchids, I run it through a paper coffee filter, cool it off and use for all plants.. The brown coffee filters shows clearly all the stuff left from the water 😳 My Dracaena has been happy ever since.. But then it only takes one watering to ruin it..

.. Not even my cats want to drink the tap water, but prefer to drink the filtered cooled off water.

Or you can add like a spoon of vinegar per gallon of water.

Important for other plants too. My peace lily has major brown then black and dying leaf problems right away with my tap water. I use distilled for peace lily, calathea, ferns, and pilea. My other plants do ok with tap.

I use the water I collected from my dehumidifier. Is this ok? Can I use bottled purified water? It has minerals calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate added for taste?
