the closest i ever came to this was, my horse was in boarding. i had complications from a surgery that kept me away from the barn for a month. sunny was out grazing with his friends when he saw or heard me. he came running to me from the other side of the pasture. i cried because my heart just melted over how much he missed me. that's why i hate seeing horses sold when the owner advances to a higher level than their current horse can accommodate. my horse sunny was alsi very attached to the person i purchased him from. luckily we had years in the same barns so he never really left her.😅
