Despite the name "Avatar", the series does not focus on the Avatar's journey. But on the many characters in it. Which again goes back to Aang, the previous Avatar.
From the beginning, it has been depicted that Korra has mastered the 3 elements (water, earth, and fire). So there's not much to talk about here. In contrast, Aang "escaped" from his destiny so there is still a lot to learn, as well as supporting his character development.
Rather than having a story, Korra is often involved in other people's stories. This is what happened in seasons 1 and 2. So it seems that Korra is just an NPC.
The worst thing is how Korra is portrayed as a lesbian. Come on, this is a cartoon. There are a lot of kids here. And they are treated to this kind of stuff. How can the Avatar bring balance to the world, if his brain balance is disturbed.

Its because all avatars like women and she actually has good character development when i first watched it i liked korra more than aang and it has better animation people always just hate on sequels if you don't go way beyond the first one but the legend of corra is actually a good show you can watch it

The whole lesbian thing would have been fine for me, if they would have actually written it better. My main gripe with the show was them not showing HOW Kora mastered 3 of the elements as a child. Like FFS we got so much from Aang and gang going on adventures and Aang learning how to use all 4 elements, and we lost that with Kora. We could have gotten so much more perspective of how different people struggle with the elements BUT NO, we got this

Side note: whats wrong with children seeing lesbian characters in cartoons.

Okay some good points were made until the lesbian thing. First of all, Korra is bi. Second thing, most of Avatars were into women. For example Kyoshi had gf Rangi. And for the love of spirits. Being gay is not an illness 🤦♀️
And also why is it problem to show kids that yes. They can love who they love. That they should not be afraid to be themsel

I think The Legend of Korra was worse than the Aang series because it just wasnt as well written. Korra was a lame protagonist, they went too crazy with the spirit world stuff (which was pretty boring except for the elemental histories and way too drawn out), and overall the show was just at a lack for memorable and likeable characters. I hated the portrayal of adult Toph and the bad guys all had ridiculously op powers. Plus the stakes just seemed higher in the OG Air Bender and the character's struggles and development were unmatchable.

Man it’s not that big of a deal that Korra is bi it wasn’t the thing that ruined the show.
My biggest gripe with Korea’s series is that team avatar isn’t a family anymore. Aang’s team avatar grew so close throughout the series becoming each members second family. You can pick any 2 members of that group and explain in depth what their relationship is.
You just can’t do that with Korea’s team avatar. Their just a group of “friends” nothing really more than that. There is multiple times in that series where a member just up and disappears for an entire episode or gets hurt and none of them ca

I think the reason why no one likes Korea that much is because we were all expecting to see Aangs journey continue. There's so much that they could have done and shown but instead we got Korra. No one asked for that. We wanted to see the gaang

Korra had a lot of great ideas and story elements, but flopped because of bad writing. The crappy love triangle in season 1. The bs that was vatu and the "dark avatar" in season 2. Nowhere near enough development for the red lotus in season 3. And the forced forgiveness of Kuvira in season 4. To top it all off, seeing Korra get her ass kicked so often makes you lose interest in her solo fights.
