Jurassic Park was a lighting in a bottle. The effects "Steven Spaz Williams" making for the first time ever realistic looking animations of animals that dwarf elephants. Spielberg, John Williams. Jurassic Park had so many talented people working together, it was incredible

The practical effects is the major point of the film which most othrs loose. Plus the fact dinos were more of a horror film only being on screen a minor amount of time. all others loose that

The real reason that Jurassic Park worked is that the dinosaurs were not the main characters. Steven Spielberg saw dinosaurs in his movie and started building up to make it even better. Everyone else just started filming the dinosaurs.

The franchise should have been rebooted in an alternate universe from the first three movies. It makes zero sense for any company to try to make another dinosaur park after multiple disasters that killed tons of people. It makes no sense for any government to allow a new dinosaur park to be built either.

I’ve always dreamed about making a rated-r version of Jurassic park and also more in line with the book. I come up with ideas all of the time. If I had the chance to make it, my life would be complete. I would especially love to have the gruesome opening scenes of the book as well as showing Hammond’s past, including the tiny elephant

See, there are two types of Jurassic Park fans. Both of which can be summed up with the beginning and end of the first novel.
From the start we have THAT scene from 'The Bite of the Raptor' where a newborn gets killed by compies and the scene from the end where the survivors come across the Raptor nest and discover that they want to migrate
One group only cares about watching people get torn apart (REGARDLESS of the retarded decisions the characters make to get them from 'living' to 'steaming pile of dino shit') while the other group prefers to have intelligent characters having intelligent conversations and making intelligent decisions as they try to survive the dinos

Im gunna guess that its based out of its simple truth that other life was inhabiting Earth, and it shouldnt be forgotten as it was a species milestone in time. A literal alternative archetype society dominating Earth.

It was magic because it was new technology and we had never seen dinosaurs on film that realistic before. Now every movie is full of cgi.

The second book was good, it's too bad all the movie took from it was the setting, half the characters, and that scene with the cliff

The main premise of all the sequels is "characters that are supposed to be smart being completely idiotic". Since watching the 2nd and third movies I have refused to watch any more dinosaur movies unless the movie ends with the dinosaurs eating ALL the people.
