As a kid i always liked to sit right behind the wing. I enjoyed seeing the flaps move and the air brakes deploy on landing

Umm, ya, behind the engine should be a 30% discount for the turbine scream.

Actually the premium seats are in front of the engines so you don’t hear the roar, but get a quieter flight and sleep easier

Tbh for me the flaps flaprons, spoilers are much more interesting, than the clean view from the front. But we all love aviation for different reasons, good for you man!

This just sums up your overall great enthusiasm for airline experiences. Tbh I was happy to ever fly in a plane as a young kid but as I hit my 20’s (and now 30’s), it’s cool to see you explain aspects of flying I previously never thought about but now understand why it matters, so thank you!

This is so true! I thought I was one of the only ones who deeply cared about being able to see the front of the engine or no engine in takeoff and landing videos! I am glad I am not alone (I also video every takeoff and landing)!

The noise of the engine when you sit in front is different. It’s more of a buzzy noise. The first time you sit in front it’s kind of disconcerting because it sounds wrong. When you sit behind, it’s more of a loud roar.

The best seat I ever experienced was in the cockpit with the pilots, truly getting a birds eye view. I sat in the jump seat, from London to Morocco. I was on vacation...*airline customer service agent.

Honestly man, as someone who flew in a premium cabin for the first time this past summer, I felt exactly the same way. It's such a great feeling because I never thought I'd afford it at such a young age.

I recently flew with Turkish Airlines on an Airbus A350 for the first time. I was seated right next to the wing, so my view was mostly blocked I could hardly see the engine or the sky. But one thing I loved was the amazing sound of the A350's engines. It's now my favorite aircraft

I know that feeling even though I work on them everyday. I still find airtravel amazing and unbelievable.
