So in 3rd grade I hated this one girl. You see she stole my pencils, pens, and my whole notebook. So when valentines day came I had a card, candy, and a tiny flower with it. So when I got to hers, I ripped the card up, I ripped the petals off of the flower and didn't give her candy. She cried-

This is not pettiness, this is righteous resistance ! Amplifying positive emotions to educate to how much of a difference they make might have a positive effect, but FORCING everyone to say they love each other is intrinsically abusive, it teaches that your emotions are not valid, that children's emotions in general are not valid compared to the will of adults, and that you have to suck up to people and especially bullies.

It was probably just coincidence, but in 4th grade, I strangely remember very well that I had Phineas and Ferb valentine to hand out, and all of the girls had the ones with Doofensmirtz, while the rest of the class had the other ones. And I attached some form of chocolate to each one as well

Honestly... Can't recall much, really. When Valentine's Day comes to mind... It's usually because it's AFTER my birthday. My birthday is the 13th of February. And needless to say, Valentine's was never a day I recall much of.

In like primary school, idk what grade, we had to give a valentine to a random kid... i was resisting cuz' i already had a girlfriend, but that didnt work... I eventually just wrote ,,i like u as a friend, but not romantically, this idea is dumb" and decorated it with yellow circles. The teachers allowed it. I'm still kinda suprised...

In like, the 4th grade we all had to give each other cards. A class of like 25 kids. One girl came to my desk with the card I gave her, placed it on my desk, looked me jn the eye and said "no" then just walked away. Absolutely destroyed.
