Dustin, I remember the story you told a LONG time ago, about how you once had a really bad day working under a house and it was damp and wet and you got shocked pretty bad. You said you had such a bad day, that you went home and even thought for a bit about giving up on being an Electrician.

I think a big factor of wanting to put your best forward is this:
Nobody wants to do the same thing twice, and redoing work you thought was done (due to half assing it the first time) is frustrating for all involved, including whoever is redoing their own work. A little frustration now with getting it right saves a lot more frustration later.
Also I can't save problems for future me. That dude is lazy as hell. If I don't do it, he definitely won't.
