Our yorkshire terrier Lisa was declining for some time before my mom took her to the vet. Her vision and hearing were almost completely gone and she didn't move much next to walking between the food and water bowl and the fireplace. She'd still wag her tail every time we walked into the living room though. One morning however my mom walks into the living room and, from what she told us, Lisa gave her one of the clearest looks she's had in years and my mom could see in her eyes that she said "I'm ready to gow now"
The doctor didn't even have to push down on the syringe. She got pricked and was asleep already. Man i miss her a lot
She got to 14 though which is pretty good for a small dog like she was

My Moses is 14 years old. I wish he was not but he is declining. I got him a month before my wife divorced me. He has been my companion, my friend, and oh so much more. watching this clip just reminds me of how hard it’s going to be when that last day comes. Will I show my love by breaking my heart and putting him down. I don’t know how I can do it.

I think the vet phrased this correctly it’s time to decide how much your willing to put him through at some point the dog won’t be able to enjoy life without extreme pain and the best thing to do is to put them to forever sleep and as a pet owner it’s one of the hardest thing to do
