A motor speed controller circuit is an electronic circuit that is designed to regulate the speed of an electric motor. There are various types of motor speed controller circuits, each with its own unique design and operating principle.

The most common type of motor speed controller circuit is the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller. This circuit uses a microcontroller or other control circuit to generate a series of pulses of varying widths. These pulses are then used to control the power delivered to the motor, thereby regulating its speed.

Another type of motor speed controller circuit is the DC motor speed controller. This circuit uses a variable resistor, such as a potentiometer or rheostat, to adjust the voltage supplied to the motor. By varying the voltage, the speed of the motor can be controlled.

A third type of motor speed controller circuit is the AC motor speed controller. This circuit uses a variable frequency drive (VFD) to control the speed of an AC motor. The VFD adjusts the frequency of the power supplied to the motor, which in turn controls its speed.

In all cases, motor speed controller circuits are designed to provide precise control over the speed of an electric motor. They are commonly used in a variety of applications, including robotics, industrial automation, and home appliances.

The IRFZ44 is a type of power MOSFET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor) designed for high-current switching applications. It is manufactured by various companies, including Vishay, Fairchild Semiconductor, and Infineon Technologies. The IRFZ44 features a low on-resistance (RDS(on)) and a high drain-source voltage rating, making it suitable for use in a variety of applications, such as power supplies, DC-DC converters, motor control, and lighting control.

The IRFZ44 has a maximum drain-source voltage rating of 55 volts and a continuous drain current rating of 49 amperes at 25°C. It has a TO-220 package with three pins, including the gate, drain, and source. The gate threshold voltage typically ranges from 2 to 4 volts, and it has a fast switching speed, making it ideal for high-frequency applications.

One of the key advantages of the IRFZ44 is its low RDS(on), which helps minimize power dissipation and improve efficiency in high-current applications. Additionally, it has a robust design, allowing it to handle large transient currents and voltage spikes. Overall, the IRFZ44 MOSFET is a versatile and reliable device commonly used in power electronics applications.

Oh great! Glue a transistor that heat up like a pan to a motor that heat up like a pan

That's not how you use a MOSFET, it's either fully ON or fully OFF, I'm sure this will heat up really quick

Honestly, i think these channels only exist because of the shitloads of arguments they know they'll cause in the comments...and i gotta say, im here for it

the idea of using the motor as a heatsink was genuine.

For those that think this circuit is dumb, the mosfet is simply in a common drain configuration to act as a voltage buffer, eliminating the loading effect on the potentiometer. Good work 👍

I suddenly feel the urge to install a fan to this and use as a mofset cooler internally 😂

No hot glue was harmed in the making of this short. Oh wait they used it for the propeller.

Debe usarse un regulador de voltaje y no un MOSFET, de la serie LM217, te da voltaje de 1.5 hasta dis voltios menos que el voltaje que dé la batería.
