What I liked about Kingdom Hearts II was mostly a tribute to the 1990’s Renaissance of the animation library of Studio Disney, not just for it’s whimsically loose cinematic adaptation of fairytales, but also featured my personal favorite musical originals like The Lion King and Henry Selick and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

KH2 has the better combat, but it's miles behind KH3 and KH1 in terms of exploration. So many areas are just textured hallways and it really sucks.
I'm pretty sure I could find three almost perfectly-straight areas from three different worlds, and people wouldn't be able to tell which was which if I removed their textures and swapped the music around.

Everyone wants KH2 combat in KH4. Sure do it. BUT PLEASE FIX THE MAGIC. I want my mp to refill as I hit enemies. Please take KH1 magic system and use that. You can even make cure cost all your mp if you want to stop cure spamming. As it is Ethers ate completely useless in KH as they don't even grant a single spell once you're out of mp.

KH2 combat > KH3 combat and it’s not even close. In KH2, you had full control—drives, summons, and abilities you could choose based on the situation. In KH3, flashy keyblade transformations look cool but feel random and don’t impact the fight much. Combat is more style than substance. Aerial fighting also feels floaty and unresponsive—Sora just glides around like it’s a cutscene. Even with the DLC fixes, KH3 never hits the same gameplay high as KH2.

I remember how people complained reaction commands were making the game "too easy" but look at Kingdom Hearts III's sotuational commands, it's not much different, I would rather have a unique combat reaction command than a repetitive situational that can be used over and over again on the same enemies.
