On a lighter note, for anyone that never heard about it, he was widely reported to have passed in, i think, 2010. He was at a dentist when all the big news outlets started reporting it based on a hoax or false report from late the night before.
He heard the announcement on the radio when he was driving back from the dentist and called the station himself to let 'em know that it was news to him and he was still alive to the best of his knowledge. He got a laugh out of the whole thing.
Made me have to double check the report of his actual passing a couple of years ago. I like to think that he might have had a thought like "They won't believe it right off the bat this time" and had another laugh when he knew it was actually getting near the end.
