eh uvlcd has stayed around 300 for a while. this has better resolution but the issue is that the lcd's always burn out quick if you use them allot. i think the business model is to make it cheap enough to just buy a new printer instead of keep the machine working. another hit from the industry trying to keep consumer printers from being industrial printers. they couldn't have us make more money than the guys with the big bucks. dlp was the way to go but not enough innovation is going to reducing the consumables. Solus tried but no one cared. this isn't great for helmets though because most of the photoresins aren't as strong as injection molding and not using the whole bottle doesn't matter because unless your recycling resin is still being exposed to uv. besides the IPA is the real expensive consumable imo. the fdm's can be good but they aren't solid. sla is too slow to justify post processing. you need to use bioresins if you're using it for that. I'd suggest PE but you'll get issues making it water tight with fdm. you could just get a mild and use traditional methods for PE. the resolution isn't helping you at all for a bottle.
