I could not understand the ATC accent. If runway 31L at KE involved crossing another runway. Then ATC may be at fault.

Thank God for reverse thrusters. It must seem odd at first to go to idle, deploy thrusters, then immediately to nearly full power,to bring jet to a crawl

Bizarre video, the AA 777 wasn't even on a taxiway when it crossed the active runway.
