Omg now it finally makes sense why I would always only find hotpot recipes when searching online, even though I was looking for the Thai stir fry version

Everytime I see you make this, I am so fascinated by how little it resembles Japanese sukiyaki. Not only in the fact that it’s a stir fry, but it feels like it would taste completely different, especially because sukiyaki is never red.
I haven’t thoroughly inspected the ingredients yet, but that’s just my vibe whenever I see it. Lol
Still looks delicious, though! I just get confused because when I hear “sukiyaki”, my brain instantly craves a certain flavour. Probably why I have yet to make this.😅

Never heard of this, but it looks great! Fun fact: in Japanese, a U between two unvoiced consonants (S and K, in his case) is not emphasized. When Japanese speakers say sukiyaki at their normal rate of speaking, it sounds more like "S'kiyaki" and you barely hear the U.
